Last updated: March 18, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the website supernomad.org (the "Service"), creating an account, or using any feature of SuperNomad, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "User") and SuperNomad ("we", "us", "our"). You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service.
2. Service Description
SuperNomad is a job aggregator platform designed for backpackers in Australia (Working Holiday Visa holders). Our platform automatically collects job postings from public Facebook groups and presents them in a structured, easily searchable format.
SuperNomad is NOT:
- An employer or recruiter
- A recruitment or staffing agency
- An intermediary between employers and job seekers
- A guarantor of the quality or authenticity of job listings
We do not create job listings. We do not verify employers. We simply provide a search tool that aggregates publicly available content. Any interaction with a potential employer is conducted directly between you and the employer, outside of our platform.
Service features include:
- Browsing and searching job listings
- Saving jobs to favorites
- Marking jobs as applied
- Creating personalized job alerts
- Contacting employers directly (email, phone, Facebook)
- Building a profile with skills, experience, and resume upload
3. Disclaimer of Liability for Job Listings
IMPORTANT WARNING
Job listings displayed on SuperNomad originate from third-party sources (public Facebook groups). SuperNomad does not verify employer identities, the authenticity of listings, proposed working conditions, or the legality of posted positions. Always exercise judgment and proceed with caution.
SuperNomad disclaims all liability regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, or currency of information contained in job listings
- Fraudulent, misleading, or illegal job postings
- Scams, fraud, or deception related to listed job offers
- Financial losses resulting from interactions with employers found through our platform
- Working conditions, compensation, or treatment received from an employer
- Any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of information presented on the Service
Job listings are collected automatically by algorithms and processed by artificial intelligence. Extraction errors (title, salary, location, job type) may occur. Always verify information directly with the employer before applying.
4. User Safety Guidelines
COMMON SCAMS IN THE BACKPACKER JOB MARKET
The backpacker job market in Australia is unfortunately targeted by numerous scammers. Here are the most common scams:
- Upfront payment requests: an "employer" asks you to pay fees before starting (application fees, training costs, equipment, visa processing). No legitimate employer will ask you for money.
- Fake farm work: listings promising farm work with free accommodation that require a deposit or booking fee before you arrive. The "job" does not exist or conditions are vastly different from what was advertised.
- Accommodation scams: job offers including "all-inclusive" accommodation that require an upfront security deposit. Once money is sent, the accommodation is substandard, non-existent, or the poster disappears entirely.
- Personal data harvesting: fake employers requesting your bank details, Tax File Number (TFN), or passport copy before any interview or contract.
- Below minimum wage: offers proposing piece-rate payment or a salary significantly below Australia's minimum hourly rate.
To protect yourself:
- Never pay upfront fees for a job or job-related accommodation.
- Never share your bank details, TFN, or passport before signing a legitimate employment contract.
- Verify the employer: search the business name on ABN Lookup (abr.business.gov.au), check online reviews, ask for an ABN.
- Check the minimum wage: visit the Fair Work Ombudsman website (fairwork.gov.au).
- Be skeptical of offers that seem too good to be true (very high salaries, free luxury accommodation).
- Report any suspicious listing to contact@supernomad.org.
